What to Expect

We are here to help you from your first contact with us through to the completion of your treatment.

Upon booking you will be emailed a registration and COVID-19 screening form to complete prior to your initial appointment. We do ask that you wear a face covering for the duration of you appointment.

During your initial assessment you will be asked many questions by your therapist relating to your current problem as well as your medical history. This allows us to start to formulate an idea as to what the cause of you problem may be, your goals and expectations, as well as a treatment plan.

The physical assessment will then involve examining the area – this may be through you performing certain movements or your therapist completing different tests. Wearing loose fitting clothing helps with this.

In many cases we will need to see the area so wearing shorts or a vest top can also be of benefit. Once the assessment has taken place the therapist will discuss the findings and the best management approach for you. Treatment techniques may also be used at this time as well as some exercises prescribed. Your Physiotherapist will also discuss with you any need for further follow-up/treatment.
