Caroline McDonald
MCSP, HCPC
Caroline is a highly experienced physiotherapist having qualified from Southampton University in 1996. She spent much of her early career in large NHS teaching hospitals gaining skills in cardiothoracic, stroke/neuro and intermediate care (Rehabilitation). This led her to specialise in Older Person rehabilitation and, as team lead of a 50 bed unit in Teddington, she ran a highly successful falls management programme and service. Caroline’s work with the Disabled Living Foundation reinforced her enjoyment of this sector and gave her valuable experience in providing equipment, advice and solutions for independent living to disabled patients of all ages; including wheelchair assessments. In recent years Caroline has been an orthopaedic physiotherapist at the Chiltern Hospital providing rehabilitation services to post operative orthopaedic patients.
Caroline is highly experienced in orthopaedics and Older Person rehabilitation. She enjoys working closely with her patients and her holistic approach helps them achieve their goals and gain the best possible outcomes.
For some individuals their physiotherapy needs are better met at home in their own environment. Caroline is passionate about supporting these patients in their home in order to achieve their optimum level of independence, improve management of their condition and their quality of life. Caroline is available for domiciliary home visits.
